The Kultu skulls celebrate life, wisdom and rebellion. It all started in what is now Mexico, where natives practiced a ritual to honor death. It’s known today as Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead, of indigenous origin. It’s a festivity and Mexican holiday.
The skulls were used to honor the dead. Instead of fearing death the indigenous people viewed it as the continuation of life. The skulls were used to ward off the evil spirits.
